Description
Kymata (Waves) project is a compound of four undercut residences in southern Crete. The particular geomorphologi, the steep slope, the view to the bay of Messara and the colors of the landscape were the parameters that determined the design.
Curved walls intersect the contour lines and blend into the natural slope of then ground. The atriums have the main role of providing natural light and ventilation in the buildings.
The entire compound faces the view, and the curves are shaped so that there is privacy between the indivudual residences.
